PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed Review: Automatic Feeding, Tested Over 30 Days

Automatic feeders live or die on the dispensing mechanism, and PetSafe's Simply Feed uses a sealed food reservoir with a rotating tray rather than the gravity chutes that jam on older designs. We loaded it with a mix of small and irregularly-shaped kibble specifically to try to break it.

Over 30 days and roughly 60 scheduled dispenses, we had zero jams — a meaningful result given how often cheaper automatic feeders clog on anything but perfectly round kibble. Portion accuracy stayed within about a tablespoon of the programmed amount across the test window.
