Feliway Optimum is the newer, third-generation formula in Ceva's pheromone diffuser line, marketed as more concentrated than the original Classic and Friends formulas. We tested it in a two-cat household during a genuinely stressful period — a cross-town move — rather than a calm baseline, since that's when these products are actually asked to work.

We logged hiding frequency, hissing incidents, and any litter box avoidance daily for four weeks starting the week before the move. Hissing incidents, which had spiked to several a day in the days immediately after moving, dropped to near zero within about ten days of continuous diffuser use.
